International ski school customers overtake online

It can happen that fast: With our international customers, the frequency of bookings is increasing rapidly.

Although the booking basket has a high value here in the Alps because many guests take a course for several days, the number of bookings in Dubai is sometimes ten times higher than in good stores in Tyrol or Salzburg.

On top of that, the statistics are based on absolute values, and we have far fewer international customers than in the DACH countries.

What are my conclusions from this?

  • Non-European guests are even more open to online bookings.
  • It pays to put your whole offer online, but to contingent it precisely.

  • Market shares are being completely redistributed on the Internet.
  • Those who make an effort and consciously rely on marketing methods such as blogs, newsletters, Adwords, etc., will be successful.

It remains exciting. The indoor ski slope in Dubai is open all year round. It is amazing how quickly they have switched from bookings via the call center to reservations via the website and online store.
