E-commerce in winter sports

At the halfway point of this year's winter season, we have evaluated the figures of our online stores. Online bookings are always a preview of how the season will go. They have fulfilled this task again this year.

Specifically, the start in the fall was excellent. As soon as word got out about the sparse snowfall before Christmas, many guests waited with their bookings and slowed down the growth that has now been evident in the online sector for a long time. Only the strong brands among the winter destinations still managed a turnaround from just before Christmas to the turn of the year and recorded stronger growth rates.

With the good snow conditions, the dynamics in the booking situation also increased again in January. The graphics we have created show the exact figures and the comparison between the regions. The division of the regions was chosen arbitrarily by us, but reflects the geographical distribution of our customers very well.

Although Tyrol has the highest density of ski schools, Salzburg still leads in online sales by some distance. The most successful individual results are found in the international group.
