In the municipality of Pfaffenhofen, there is a unique blend of tradition and innovation. A house over 200 years old, located at Unterdorf 1, once a thriving tannery, now houses the offices of Waldhart Software. The building, which served as a business location for a century, eloquently tells the story of the decommissioned tannery. The old halls are gradually being transformed into modern offices, providing space for our expanding activities.
The fusion of old and new, traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, is not only embodied by the architectural ambiance but also through a variety of artworks within our company building – including pieces by Alois Waldhart and Sarah Berndlbauer. Telfs-based metal artist Bernhard Witsch has also made a creative contribution, crafting personalized metal figures. Since September 2023, a portion of this art is visible externally – Witsch has created a mountain range from oxidized metal for us. This not only artistically highlights the bare structure of the carport for the e-car sharing Teslas but also depicts several sports closely associated with the company, such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and rafting.
The mountain range, symbolizing the mountain experiences that form the core business of our customers, artistically connects the history of the tannery with the modern orientation of our company. Hannes Waldhart, CEO of Waldhart Software, emphasizes: "With this artwork, we not only aim to enhance the appearance of our company building but also to make a sustainable contribution to the townscape of Pfaffenhofen." Through thoughtfully placed lighting, the artwork comes to life even after dark, unfolding its unique charm in the heart of Pfaffenhofen.
