A BMW i3 for Waldhart Software

At the beginning of the year, the Chamber of Commerce invited to the vehicle manufacturer Empl in Zillertal for a lecture on sustainable management. Isabella, Daniel and Hannes listened carefully to the presentations and considered what could be improved at our company.

All employees test their ecological footprint on the Internet platform and the discussion on the topic spread to the entire company. Since then, the first step has been to eat vegetarian food together when someone has a birthday.

Software is very environmentally friendly in itself, but the necessary hardware is no longer. Our many business trips are certainly the biggest stress factor. But we don't want to do without personal contact with our customers. That would no longer be the same quality in customer relations, which we value very highly and are proud of.

So we travelled more by train. Training courses and conferences in Vienna, Salzburg, Munich and Innsbruck are ideal for this. But to visit customers in the valleys, we realistically need our cars.

So now we have taken the next logical step and purchased an electric car: a BMW i3 REX.
The range extender had to be, because electric range is simply too short for our action radius.

Now we are curious to see what our experiences will be. How the acceptance is with the employees, whether we find charging stations to recharge in the meantime, etc.

Anyone who is interested is welcome to talk to us.

In any case, I would like to thank my management team for their support, my brother Andreas for his persistent efforts to convince us of the benefits of solar and electric mobility, and I hope that we will be as accident-free on the road with the BMW i3 as we are with the other cars.
