Content with recognition value is of great importance in social media in order to remain visible in the information stream of digital media. Therefore, we organized a video workshop with the experienced video producer Markus Rosentreter. The workshop was aimed at ski instructors who want to become more active in online marketing for ski schools.

The goal is to collect material for all ski schools so that the entire WS community benefits from the good material of individual ski instructors.

Markus explained to us how to create relevant video content in a two-day workshop in Galtür.

Day 1 - Introduction and video shooting on the slopes

In the Enziansaal at the Alpinarium, Markus introduced us to the basics of photography and video shooting. We clarified the most important terms and brainstormed many ideas for social media content for ski schools. In a short time, this opened up many creative and informative possibilities for us.

Markus enlightened us about the importance of concept creation. With humor, good storytelling and exciting emotional content, we can produce video content that stays in the memory.

After the theoretical introduction, we hit the slopes with our film equipment, from cell phones to GoPro to video and DSLR cameras. At lunch together, we formed our teams and the concept we followed, and then collected some footage.

Back at the Alpinarium, Markus gave us valuable tips on interview shots. We learned where the interviewee should be positioned during an interview, what contractual conditions should be observed, how to choose the soundtrack and where to get royalty-free music.

We ended the informative and entertaining day with a nice dinner at the Hotel Belvedere.

Day 2 - Video editing and presentation of results

For video editing we went back to our temporary studio in the Alpinarium. Under Markus' guidance, we got to know Adobe Premiere and edited the material we had collected the day before.

At lunch Hannes joined us again and in the afternoon the groups could finally present their results!

In a short time and with little effort, our teams created amusing and informative stories that are waiting to be continued.

Hannes and Markus concluded the day with the ceremonial presentation of the certificates for the completed video workshop.

We thank Markus Rosentreter for the informative and educational workshop. We thank Christian Zangerl from the Galtür Ski School for the perfect organization on site. Hannes Waldhart for taking up the idea and implementing it. Thanks also to all participants for their motivated and productive participation in the workshop.

Follow-up date

Now it's time to stick with it, try it out and put what you've learned into practice. Then ski schools will benefit in the future from videos that can be used in a variety of ways.

Due to the positive feedback, there will be a follow-up meeting with Markus Rosentreter, where we will deepen what we have learned and clarify open questions. Among other things, we want to deal with the editing tool Quik for mobile devices.

For all of you who are already working diligently on image and video content:

You want to sell your material? You are missing suitable and royalty-free music for your videos? We want to support you, so get in touch with us right away.
