WS Days meets Swiss Snow Happening: Exciting days full of surprises, concentrated knowledge and spectacular competitions

The WS Days 2024, which brought together 74 participants from ski schools across the Alps to exchange ideas, took place in a spectacular setting: The Swiss Snow Happening, THE highlight of the season for Swiss ski instructors, took place in Arosa from 8 to 12 April.

In the thick of it rather than just along for the ride was the Waldhart Software team with exciting workshops and presentations, the presentation of the coveted WS Online Award, and a creative surprise that left everyone amazed.

Together, the participants of WS Days cast their gaze into a future full of possibilities: The use of artificial intelligence in ski school everyday life was put to the test, and potential applications of "Virtual Reality" in ski school teaching were discussed. The curious were invited to try on the VR goggles themselves and practice for emergencies in an avalanche rescue training simulator.

The festive presentation of the WS Online Award was preceded by an exciting campaign: Ski schools were called upon to produce ski instructor image videos and share them on social media. The aim of the image videos: To showcase the versatility of the ski instructor profession and emphasise the importance of ski instructors as ambassadors for the region. The creative image videos debunk stereotypes by presenting the demanding and varied aspects of the profession, making the jury's choice of the best submission difficult. In the end, the humorous and empathetic video by Follow Me Ski School Kühtai won the audience vote. But all ski schools that took their smartphones to the slopes can rejoice because many of the videos went viral on Instagram & Co.

The last evening brought a big surprise: In collaboration with Telfer artist Sarah Berndlbauer, Hannes Waldhart and his team have created a ski school-themed hidden object book, with which children from 3 years old can discover the "Adventure Ski School". You can now order the hidden object book and sell it directly in your online shop or ski school office! More information and ordering options can be found on the Picture Book Website!

We thank Noldi Heiz for the great hospitality and for allowing us to host the WS Days for the second time in beautiful Arosa. Our thanks also go to all participants for their attendance, lively exchange, and valuable input.

Outlook: The location and date of the WS Days 2025 are already set: From March 18 to 20, the WS Community will meet in the beautiful Gröden in South Tyrol.
