After about 4 1/2 hours of driving we arrived at our destination, where Petr immediately greeted us and did not miss the opportunity to be our personal guide on the first day. The first stop was the rental shop of the Lipno Ski School, where each of us was allowed to choose a mountain bike. Then we took the lift to the top, while the more athletic among us did not miss the opportunity to climb the mountain without a lift.
Once at the top, Petr immediately led us to one of the absolute highlights of the area - the tree top walk. What sounds unspectacular turns out to be a 40-meter-high observation tower with a 700-meter-long path above the treetops, which offers a great view of the Lipno Reservoir, the Bohemian Forest and the peaks of the Austrian Alps. In the so-called adrenaline sectors not only children have fun - as the photos prove. Finally, one of the longest tobogans in the Czech Republic awaits - a dry slide in the middle of the tower, which we tried out, of course.
Now the trails were waiting for us to explore. Very cleverly laid out, they offer riding pleasure for young and old, for beginners and advanced riders.
One stop that Petr did not want to deprive us of was the Forest Kingdom - a forest adventure park not only for children.
In the evening we had the opportunity to meet some of Petr's team over the best pizza in Lipno. Together we ended the evening in the après ski bar (!).
The next day belonged to water sports. The Lipno Reservoir offers guests everything their hearts desire in this regard. We tried our hand at stand-up paddling, explored the lake in an electric boat and bathed in the lake before heading back to Pfaffenhofen in the afternoon - some with the thought in the back of their minds that they would be back again.
