This year, we are guests in Switzerland, more precisely in the beautiful, snow-reliable Arosa.
The snow sports area of Arosa Lenzerheide in the Swiss canton of Graubünden is impressive with 225km of prepared pistes up to altitude of 2,685m. Wide pistes for making turns with a large radius or steep slopes, where you really need to use your skis’ edges are to the delight of all winter sports fans – that’s what Arosa Tourism promises. We will subject this promise to an exact reality check and will allow for a whole day for testing the pistes.
We stay at the 4-star Waldhotel Arosa hotel.
The hotel lies right at the piste (ski-in, ski-out convenience), has modern rooms, a 1,100m²-large spa area and an excellent cuisine. The entire seminar area with panoramic windows has been reserved for us.
The accommodation package, the seminar package and the ski pass are charged by the hotel with the check-out bill and have to be booked when booking the WS Days.
Participants who do not stay at the hotel, pay only the cost for the seminar and the ski pass. They can of course join the dinner at the Waldhotel on Monday.
As in every year, the focus of the WS Days is on networking and exchange.
“The WS Days are always a great opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues across national borders and to discuss different topics – for example, employee acquisition, wage models and financing models for employee accommodation. I think it is brilliant that a lot of the exchange and networking takes place when skiing together. With the participation in the WS Days, you learn plenty about the current trends in the industry. This year I am looking forward to hear more about the topic “ski school inclusive”, which is practised by the Skischule Arosa.” (Tom Egger, Skischule Hirschegg)
“I think it is fantastic to have so many ski school in one place, in particular larger and smaller ones. One can exchange in an informal atmosphere, can learn from each other and there is always an aha-effect… and of course one also learns about the latest from Waldhart and gets to know your staff in person (Charlotte Lannou, Skischule Davos)
This year, a full day is reserved for skiing for the first time. Guides from the Arosa and Lenzerheide ski schools will lead us through their ski area; the ski pass price includes both ski areas - Arosa und Lenzerheide.
The crowning end of the day is the Flying Dinner in the Güterschuppen, a hip restaurant in Arosa, where we will let the skiing day come to an end together.
If you don’t manage to visit the spa area on Monday (arrival day), you should manage to do so on the second day after skiing.
How can I tie customers to my company? How do I build trust? Which measures do I take locally and which online? What influence do my employees have? We want to try to approach this topic from different perspectives and to learn from each other.
Noldi Heiz, ski school manager in Arosa, will show us a special possibility of improving customer loyalty. In the slipstream of the destination, the Arosa ski school has successfully managed to tie customers to the ski school. The key products for this is “ski school inclusive”.
In a lecture, Noldi will tell us what this is all about and what measures the Arosa ski school will take on site.
Within the scope of the skiing day on Tuesday, when we will be exploring the Arosa Lenzerheide interconnected ski area with the guides, we will have the opportunity to visit the ski school.
In line with the first subject area, we from Waldhart Software will report on the current status of our interfaces to the different destination platforms, gather experiences from the different destinations and discuss first results.
Furthermore, we want to show what possibilities our customers have with Waldhart software tools to increase customer loyalty and demonstrate that the data that is collected is the key to successful customer loyalty management.
Of course there will be a thematic block dealing with the software from Waldhart.
We want to determine the “status quo” of the existing products and an exchange about it with our customers is planned: What works well, what works less, where is room for improvement? In particular, we want to discuss with you which priorities we should set in the next development phase. Is e.g. the topic of benchmarking interesting for you?
“Since Waldhart is known for being innovative, it is always exciting to directly participate in the development and have an exchange with Waldhart and other ski schools.”
(Daniel Ammann, Skischule Davos)
A representative of our payment provider Payyo will give us an overview and background information on the different means of payment, give insight into the behaviour or customers and argue why it is important to offer alternative options for the customers. A look at new developments such as Apple Pay completes the lecture.
