What are the benefits of Dynamic Pricing for my ski school?
Dynamic Pricing offers you the opportunity to sustainably increase the success of your ski school and optimally utilize your resources through better planning. The smart pricing system rewards guests who book their ski course early online with lower prices. By incentivizing early bookings, early planning of ski instructor capacities is also possible.
Are there any costs for implementing Dynamic Pricing in the ski school?
No, the new feature is part of the new contract and free of charge for all contract switchers, provided that the "Sales Plus" module is activated.
When will the new feature be available in WS SPORTS?
In the last update, we already included the new dynamic pricing feature in WS SPORTS. You can start immediately. If you want to activate Dynamic Pricing, feel free to contact our customer support or your consultant. Together, we can configure Dynamic Pricing according to your preferences.
What should be considered when setting prices?
When using Dynamic Pricing in WS SPORTS, you set a maximum price. Depending on the booking period, you then grant a discount from this price. To avoid the hassle of recalculating your prices, we have included a suitable function in WS SPORTS. This allows you to easily increase your base price by a desired percentage. A step-by-step guide can be found in our Helpdesk.
Additionally, you set up Dynamic Pricing categories to control the percentage discount based on the booking period. To get you started, we have created a default category for you. Of course, you can adjust these categories and individually control the booking period and the granted discount.
With the Dynamic Pricing categories, you can set the following, for example:
If your guest books up to 84 days before the course starts, a 20% discount will be applied to your set maximum price.
If your guest books up to 14 days before the course starts, a 10% discount will be applied.
If your guest books on the day of the course, no discount will be granted. The guest pays the maximum price.
Can I exclude certain items from Dynamic Pricing?
In WS SPORTS, you can specify which items you want to use Dynamic Pricing for. You can also set different dynamic categories for your items.
If you want to adjust prices for a specific date or period, you can use the manual Dynamic Pricing mode. However, this mode is only suitable for experts. Feel free to contact your consultant if you have questions about this mode.
I work with interface partners, can I still use Dynamic Pricing in WS SPORTS?
Of course, your interface partners can adopt your dynamic pricing settings. Your partners need to implement Dynamic Pricing. We have adjusted the existing interface so that the dynamic rules are also exported. Your partner needs to modify the interface again, then the dynamic prices will also be displayed on the partner's site.
If your partner does not want to offer Dynamic Pricing for certain reasons, you will always sell at the set maximum price in the interface.
Can I use both Dynamic Pricing and an early booking discount?
Technically, a combination of early booking discount and Dynamic Pricing is possible. However, the dynamic pricing system is already designed to reward early bookers.
Can I still set different prices for high and low seasons?
You can set your prices as before and establish different prices for high and low seasons. Currently, Dynamic Pricing in WS SPORTS relates to the booking period of your guests. The earlier your guest books a ski course, the greater their price advantage.
I have already communicated the price list on the website and to hotels. What should I do?
It is very likely that your guests have not yet started planning their winter 2024/25 holiday intensively. Therefore, there is nothing against a price change.
You can easily and safely recover printing costs for already created flyers through the increased revenue. However, we recommend not printing a price list at the moment if you are not yet sure whether you want to use Dynamic Pricing.
How do we explain the high price to guests who book right before the course?
Dynamic Pricing has already established itself for hotel and flight bookings. So it is not new that the price increases for late and spontaneous bookings. It is your guests' responsibility to book early. You may charge the higher price without any problem if guests do not book in time.
