Company trip 2024: A Delightful Weekend in Zurich

Before the 2024/25 winter season kicks off, we took the opportunity to recharge our energy with a team outing. This year, our journey led us to the beautiful Switzerland, more specifically to Zurich.

Culinary Kick-off
The first day of our company outing was all about enjoyment! After arriving, we headed straight for lunch at the Cucina Kaserne, an Italian restaurant that welcomed us with delicious dishes and a relaxed atmosphere – the perfect start to our weekend! While some explored the charming old town of Zurich with its narrow alleys, historic buildings, and picturesque squares, others strolled along the promenade by Lake Zurich to our next stop: a tour of the world of chocolate.

Chocolate Delights at the "Lindt – Home of Chocolate"
During the hour-and-a-half tour of the Lindt – Home of Chocolate, we learned all about the history and production of the famous Lindt chocolate. A particular highlight was the impressive chocolate fountain – a dream come true for every sweet tooth! We also got to indulge in plenty of samples, making the visit a truly sweet experience.

Cheese Fondue to End the Day
In the evening, we ended the day with a cozy meal at Frau Gerold’s Winterstube. Alongside a warming cheese fondue, we were treated to a delicious pumpkin soup as a starter, and for dessert, we could choose between refreshing lemon sorbet or a delightful chocolate cake. A perfectly satisfying conclusion to a day filled with culinary delights!

Pure Nature: Rhine Falls and Laufen Castle
On the second day, we ventured into nature. During an adventurous boat ride, we experienced Europe’s largest waterfall, the Rhine Falls, up close. The most impressive part was the view from the platform in the middle of the falls, where we could admire the roaring waters in all their glory. We then visited the majestic Laufen Castle, perched above the Rhine. After a tour of the castle, we enjoyed a delicious lunch before heading back to Pfaffenhofen in the afternoon.

This unforgettable company outing not only brought us closer to the beauty of Switzerland but also strengthened our team bond. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure together!
